For years people have called me the "Money Man by day, Jazz Man by night". I spend my days helping people with mortgage financing, and spend my nights playing jazz around Los Angeles and Southern California. This blog sheds light on how I have helped people with their finances.

My Client Is Featured in a Zillow Advertisement

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of helping first-time home buyers Fletcher and Ann buy a home in Burbank.  New baby, time to settle in, etc.  Ann was chosen to be featured in this Zillow ad, speaking about her experience.
Let me know if I can help you buy your first home!

T. V. Writer a Good Fit with George Kahn - "He Understands me!"

I Love Working with Creative People in the Entertainment Industry.  Paula and Kyle are the sweetest couple, and it has been a pleasure to help them understand the ins and outs of the real estate and mortgage business.  Paula plays a wicked electric violin in a King Crimson cover band as well!

Lionel Sancers, CPA, saved over $40,000 in interest with this creative idea

I love working with smart people, and Lionel is one of the smartest people I know.  He has his own CPA office in West Los Angeles.  If you need to talk about taxes, music or art, he is the guy to call.
You can find Lionel here

Lionel Sanders referred his clients, and himself!

Lionel is a great fan of both music and visual art - as you can tell by the dramatic pencil drawing that works as a backdrop to this video.  His office is like an art gallery.

Bob and Charlene Baker, one of my longest-running clients

I first did a loan for Bob Baker almost 20 years ago - talk about being their "Mortgage Banker - For Life!"  Great clients, it is always good to get together with them.  We were on our way to see the Phil Norman Tentet perform, and Bob and Charlene agreed to give me a testimonial.

Charlene Chaloner Baker says the best surprise is NO surprises!

Thanks, Charlene!

Judy Begg interview part 2

I really wanted to know what was the best part of the process for Judy.  Sometimes people are surprised by things during the process (sometimes not it a good way!) - so I wanted to also find out if there were any surprises that happened.
Thanks Judy!  You are the best!

Judy Begg interview 1

Judy was introduced to me by a previous client.  She wanted to refinance her home to have a more affordable payment.  She is retired,  loves her home and would like to live there as long as possible, so having a low payment on a fixed income is very important to her.  Sometimes the banks are making it hard for retired people to qualify for a refinance nowadays - but not in this case!
